ONE PIXEL LESS is a global digital artwork and privacy-awareness experiment. One logical pixel represents one person in the model. Anyone can anonymously receive one available pixel and choose to make that space disappear.
Small absence. Large picture.
One missing pixel is almost invisible. Millions of missing pixels change the picture. The work turns an abstract population estimate into a quiet, shared gesture about visibility, participation, and choice.
The deletion is symbolic
Removing a pixel changes this artwork only. It does not delete information from the Internet, AI systems, search indexes, platforms, or third-party databases.
Privacy by design
The project does not require an account, name, email, phone number, social login, advertising identifier, or invasive fingerprint. A short-lived anonymous protocol protects the one-person, one-pixel intention.
