ONE PIXEL LESS / PROTOCOL
How ONE PIXEL LESS works
The experience is designed to be simple, deliberate, and honest about what it can and cannot delete.
1. Explore
The WebGL world visualizes a huge logical address space without creating billions of DOM elements or database rows.
2. Find your pixel
The server selects an available pixel. You do not choose an arbitrary coordinate, and no account or name is required.
3. Hold to delete
A short-lived signed claim gives you time to confirm. Holding the control makes the action deliberate rather than accidental.
4. See the absence
The deletion is committed atomically, the global counter updates, and the pixel becomes an empty space in the artwork.
5. Share the coordinate
Share an anonymous URL to the empty space. It contains no claim token or personal information.
One human to one pixel is a design intention, not a perfect proof of humanity. Perfect uniqueness would require identity trade-offs the project intentionally avoids.
